Partner with health, social service, and non-profit organizations and networks in order to improve approaches and create sustainable and strategic changes in order to have the greatest impact on people and communities.
We acknowledge that the land on which we live and work is the traditional territories of the Wendat, Haudenosaunee, Anishinabeg, and Mississaugas of the Credit. We are located in Tkaronto (Treaty 13 territory) and often work in N'Swakamok on the traditional territory of the Atikameksheng Anishnawbek (Robinson-Huron Treaty territory). We believe that reconciliation and mending relations with First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples is our collective responsibility, which requires ongoing reflection and action.
We further honour our responsibilities as treaty people to be stewards of the land itself and all within its ecosystems alongside Indigenous people and other settlers, including people whose ancestors were enslaved, and newcomers to Turtle Island.
Anti-Racism and Anti-Oppression
We acknowledge that we operate in a society which was built on systemic racism and the oppression of Indigenous Peoples, Black people and other racialized groups. We recognize that these are equity-seeking groups, along with people who identify as 2SLGBTQ+, people living with disabilities, Francophones in minority settings, and more.
We further recognize that diversity is intersectional and is not limited to race, gender, identity, religion, culture, ethnicity, lived experience, income, sexual orientation, ability, age, nationality, or spoken language(s).
A commitment to anti-racism and anti-oppression is one built on enabling systemic, structural, and institutional policies, processes and cultures that operate from an AR/AO lens and achieve AR/AO outcomes with clients.
As a consultancy focused on working with health and social service, as well as non-profit organizations, we are committed to supporting clients in dismantling barriers, improving access to care and eliminating health inequities. This includes working from an anti-oppressive, anti-racist, intersectional feminist, pro-choice and harm reduction lens.
Additionally, as a Community Health Equity Builder, IMPACT MP Consulting endorses the Alliance for Healthier Communities' Health Equity Charter and operates from the definitions outlined in their Core Concepts Glossary.
